A Foundation That Inspires Ministries
The Mighty Fortress Foundation was founded in 2020 as an outgrowth of Church Extension Fund. While CEF will continue to provide some grants and services, it is not their core business. The Mighty Fortress Foundation can devote 100% of their efforts to offering grants and services to Lutheran ministries in the Michigan District.

Practically every Lutheran church in Michigan has innovative ideas for better serving their communities. Our grants and services can help turn these dreams into realities by removing some of the barriers in starting new projects.
New and Improved TECHNOLOGY
Grants are providing Michigan ministries with the up-to-date IT equipment and training they need to continue connecting people to Jesus in an increasingly online world.
Educational FUNDING
Lutheran schools are using grants to acquire new curriculum and materials, modernize classrooms, and upgrade their libraries. What better investment could there be than in our children’s future?
Security ENHANCEMENTS
Grants for security cameras, locks, and monitoring systems are helping churches protect their most valuable assets – their people – from intruders who might do them harm.
The Mighty Fortress Foundation is another way to ensure the Great Commission is being carried forward in the Michigan District.
